We wanted a beautiful space with amazing food and exceptional coffee, so we created Cora.
We transformed a dark two hundred year-old building into a bright, airy and modern venue. Taking inspiration from our travels, the bespoke design is something unique in Dublin.
Located in one of Dublin’s most picturesque villages, Cora is a speciality café and all-day dining venue in Lucan.
We opened our doors in February 2026 and together with our dedicated team, we have already built a loyal and dedicated following.
Our focus is the use of great quality, locally sourced ingredients to create wholesome, interesting, and delicious dishes. Almost everything in Cora is created in-house by a talented team of chefs and baristas. Menus are seasonal, food always fresh; specials change daily and there is always be something new to tempt customers on the cake counter.
Our style is relaxed, open and friendly. Join us for a coffee and delicious breakfast in the morning, wholesome lunch in the afternoon or our celebrated weekend brunch.

What's in a name?
Cora is the Irish word for a weir.
Set in Lucan along the River Liffey, the name anchors the restaurant in its landscape and heritage without being overt or obvious.
Like a weir, Cora suggests balance and transition, gently connecting one side to another.
It mirrors the spirit of the space: light-filled mornings that flow into candlelit evenings, brunch giving way to wine, day turning into night.
There’s movement, but also stillness. Energy, but also calm.
The word itself is simple and elegant. Soft in sound, strong in meaning.
It feels distinctly Irish yet contemporary, equally at home on the door of a Georgian townhouse or embossed on a wine list.
Cora is rooted, architectural, and timeless, a name that belongs to Lucan, and one that will feel established for years to come.
